The role involves creating engaging content, interacting with customers, managing the ecommerce platform, and staying updated on social media trends to drive growth and engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging content, including text, images, and videos, to showcase TUMA250’s new arrivals, deals, discounts, and behind-the-scenes activities across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.
  • Social Media Management: Schedule posts, monitor engagement, and manage interactions to ensure timely responses to customer comments and inquiries.
  • Community Engagement: Actively interact with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions to foster a vibrant online community and enhance customer relationships.
  • Ecommerce Management: Update and manage the ecommerce platform (WordPress/WooCommerce), ensuring accurate listings for new arrivals and promotions.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance metrics to assess the success of campaigns, offering insights and recommendations to boost engagement and reach.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on social media trends, algorithms, and emerging platforms to ensure TUMA250’s social strategy is fresh and effective.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the marketing and operations teams to align social media efforts with business goals and promotional strategies.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role, preferably in ecommerce or retail

Nice to have:

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a creative flair for engaging content.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or native platform tools).
  • Knowledge of WordPress/WooCommerce and basic graphic/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere and other editing software or applications).

We are digitally transforming the retail business, and in doing so, are looking for a highly talented e-commerce manager to join our team and shape the face of online shopping in Rwanda.

E-Commerce managers are responsible for the online sales of the brand. They oversee the look and feel of the company website and are responsible for generating sales via various online channels. They oversee digital marketers, web and software developers who contribute to website traffic, design and structure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all online activities in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and a/b testing and reporting.

• Create product listings that appeal to your customers.

• Work with developers to improve website & mobile app speed.

• Work with technical teams to fix website & mobile app problems.

• Work with the marketing team in designing efficient campaigns.

• Research competitors and keep up to date with trends in technology.

• Research customer needs and how they respond to adverts

• Analyse data in order to deliver efficient strategies that can increase customer experience and sales.

• Develop monthly content calendar and set targets to all departments in charge.

• Management reports on sales performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role

• Bachelors’ degree in Digital Marketing or related field.

• Knowledge of implementing digital marketing concepts such as PPC, SEO, social media, display and affiliate channels.

Head of Marketing

We are digitally transforming the retail business, and in doing so, are looking for highly talented people to join our eCommerce team and shape the face of online shopping in Rwanda.

The head of Marketing is a key business leader who will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for tuma250 ecommerce business. This includes strategies to acquire, convert and retain new and existing customers, while working with the marketing team, operation team, customer support specialists, merchandising, as well as external partners. In addition, the role will oversee communications and public relations efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Own and manage marketing strategies, including paid performance channels, brand & content, CRM, and promotions.

• Develop campaigns for new customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation programs to increase brand awareness and strengthen brand equity.

• Assisting with content creation, such as case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts.

• Manage the site localization strategy, including translation, site navigation, content development in conjunction with the marketing team, payments, shipping offers, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.

• Lead the development of new business opportunities and partnerships in the country, including marketplaces, affiliate partners, influencers, B2B and offline sales opportunities.

• Develop and forecast quarterly targets and inventory to meet our financial and operational goals.

• Continuously drive online revenue growth by applying consumer and industry trends, to site, merchandising, content, and business strategies.

• Manage efficient use of resources and budget to prioritize the most impactful opportunities for long term growth and profitability.

• Collaborate with CRM team to develop effective customer messaging and retention strategies.

• Planning and participating in the launch of new products and services across different channels.

• Researching competitor offerings and carrying out market research data to establish appropriate product pricing.

• Build strong collaborative partnership with operations team to optimize demand forecasting and optimize our strategy for addressing inventory management and optimization.

• Work closely with our logistics team to offer the most efficient and fastest customer delivery experience in the country.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar position.

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of ecommerce growth strategies in the direct to consumer retail space.

• Experience managing a team, in-person and/or remotely.

• Experience collaborating effectively across all levels of an organization, from top management to individual contributor level.

• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with an eye for quality and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with product compliance, cross-border retail and global logistics is a plus.

Nice to have:

• High aptitude and ability to make efficient use of online productivity and communication tools.

Job Responsibilities:

• The eCommerce Operations Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing a diverse portfolio of cross-functional operational initiatives.

• This is a multidisciplinary role, where the primary purpose is to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day operational management across all eCommerce offers and processes.

• This role will engage with, and support, several departments including Order Fulfilment, Stores, Delivery, Customer Care, IT & Financial Services.

• This position will work with internal and external partners to address issues and concerns and continually look for ways to improve the processes and systems.

• This position will also work with management to develop strategy and long-term planning for the eCommerce operations team.

Qualifications (Essential)
